Raise the Green Flag

Tuesday was a day for celebrating at Parklands.  We raised our Green Flag and celebrated our Eco efforts.  A change of fixtures meant that we had to deal with the disappointment that Nottingham Forest footballer and ex student, Lewis McGugan could not attend to raise the flag.

Quick thinking led to an invite to Great Uncle Bulgaria!!  Our Eco Team mascot is a womble and we are all encouraged to be Eco Wombles and follow in the great womble's footsteps and look after our environment.

We were joined for the ceremony by representatives from Erewash Council, Wilsthorpe School, Westerman Homes (who kindly donated and erected the flag pole), and by staff past and present and governors and parents who have all been a part of our Eco schools journey.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
